Bloom Arabia is a bilingual record of specialty coffee in the Gulf: the people, the rooms, the craft, and the qahwa tradition that preceded all of it. It exists because the region's coffee culture is being written about mostly from outside, in one language, on a morning clock that does not match the way this part of the world actually drinks.

بلوم أرابيا سجلٌّ بلغتين للقهوة المختصّة في الخليج: الناس، والأماكن، والحرفة، وتقليد القهوة العربية الذي سبقها جميعًا. نشأت لأنّ ثقافة القهوة في المنطقة تُكتَب غالبًا من الخارج، وبلغةٍ واحدة، وعلى ساعةٍ صباحيةٍ لا تشبه الطريقة التي يشرب بها هذا الجزء من العالم.

We publish slowly. The web journal is free and always will be. The printed issue goes deeper, arrives with coffee from a partner roastery, and is sold mainly through the cafés we write about. Everything is produced in English and Arabic — not translated as an afterthought, but written as two editions of the same publication.

ننشر على مهل. الدفتر على الإنترنت متاحٌ مجانًا وسيبقى كذلك. أمّا العدد المطبوع فيمضي أعمق، ويصل ومعه قهوةٌ من محمصةٍ شريكة، ويُباع أساسًا عبر المقاهي التي نكتب عنها. وكلّ شيءٍ يصدر بالعربية والإنجليزية معًا — لا ترجمةً لاحقة، بل نسختين من إصدارٍ واحد.
